  2. I am the same way. Every now and then I am caught in awkward situations and all I can do is retell the story in my head, using my words. I’ll sometimes even consider how I can rearrange the situation to make it more interesting in a novel. It sucks sometimes, especially when you are trying to have a romantic moment, but you mind keeps trying to fit it in with the characters of your novels.

  3. That used to happen to me quite a bit, even at funerals, but I generally seem to be more adept at keeping my two lives separate, these days — when they need to be. I do have my moments, though! One’s everyday life has a wonderful capacity for triggering unexpected trains of thought, and I’ve never been one to look a gift horse in the mouth!
